What is mentoring and who needs a mentor? What difference does a mentor make? I have occasionally heard people say that every athlete regardless of their talent requires a coach and this coach can make or break the career of the athlete. In the same way every professional requires a mentor.

A mentor is a senior colleague who can support the professional and personal development of another staff. Through sharing knowledge, expertise and experience This is what is missing from the teaching profession. Teaching can be a very isolated job with teachers grappling with issues around instruction, classroom management, discipline and many more.
