Intensive Leadership Project- Covid Package

Intensive Leadership Support: This training was delivered as a free support package to schools in Nigeria during covid. As digital learning was at its infancy when the pandemic struck, Golden Links responded to the plight of both the private and public school sectors by offering a 13 week program to support schools in pivoting to online learning. Golden Links went a step further to support some schools with creating an online learning platform.

The aim was to provide services to schools managers to enable these educators understand and minimise the impact of negative threats posed by Covid or turn them into opportunities.  This support was offered to 120 schools.

Feedback received from participating schools highlighted the following as the impact of support provided.

Reinvention of education delivery through digital transformation which enabled most of the schools to create an online learning platform

Expanding their understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats which helped them maximise these

Developing a revised strategy for survival and sustainability in Covid and post covid which led to operational efficiency

Enabling an empowered and agile workforce. The development of business resilience

Strengthening customer relationship and building customer confidence

Golden Links was nominated as finalist in the category of Most Responsive Organisation in Covid 19 by the Nigerian Risk Awards 2020

The responses from the recipients informed that 90.6% found the service and support provided either as effective or very effective in mitigating or minimising the negative threats posed by Covid 19 and also in forward planning for post Covid

Connecting Classrooms Project (British Council)

Golden Links functioned as the lead facilitator in identifying, selecting and supporting 4 schools in Nigeria to connect with 4 schools in London.

This project was designed for global learning of educators and their students to understand the big issues that shape our world and equip them with the knowledge and skills to make a difference.

This project enabled the schools in Nigeria to form partnerships with the schools in the United Kingdom which created opportunity for learning, student collaboration on a global learning project and training opportunities for all the schools involved. This was funded through a partnership between the British Council and the Foreign, commonwealth and development office.
