Lesson 4: Investment

· Behaviour Management, Parents Exclusive

A proactive behaviour management approach is not a quick fix or a microwave approach. It is a long term investment guaranteed to offer you excellent returns because it never fails. But, did you read the second line I said long term investment. So it is all about investments. Let’s talk about your investments.

How much time are you investing in your child?

How much love are you investing?

How much listening are you investing?

How much play are you investing?

How much understanding are you investing?

And the list goes on. If you have four children are you investing time in all of them? What I mean can be interpreted as making time maybe every week or at least one a month to have a special time with each one.

It can be themed a special date with just that child and you listen and just enjoy their company. Remember people don’t care how much you know it they know how much you care and that is the same for our children. My colleague told me how she has applied this strategy and it enabled her develop a close bond with her 3 kids. There are now in their teens and still love their special dates and even keep it in their diary.
