Summary of The International School Leaders Conference 2022

The International School Leaders Conference 2022, Thriving and Excelling in a climate of change, was an insightful and inspirational week for school leaders from Africa. School leaders had the opportunity to connect with a range of educational service and resource providers like Pango a teachers’ resource platform, Schons and Sims, the text book people; Century, an AI teacher resource platform; SEN Books, who are specialist in resources for children with special needs and many more.

The three-day Seminars and Masterclasses hosted in the Double Tree by Hilton hotel was buzzing with excitement. It featured speakers like Jo Varnas, Dr Adewale, Angelina Ikeako, Prof Anne Bamford, and many others more took the stage and spoke on a range of topics from empathic leadership, neurodiversity, children emotional development, safeguarding in schools and lots more. The two-day school exchange program was a highlight for many as Sydney Russell School, Goresbrook Primary and Churchfield Infant School provided delegates with an opportunity for immersive learning and a practical experience of the education system in the United Kingdom.

This week ended on a fun note with a tour of London on the famous London Eye and a river cruise with dinner on 22nd Oct. One of the delegates commented, “I am definitely attending next year as this conference met and surpassed my expectations”.
