Approximately 10% of the population are affected by dyslexia to some extent. Dyslexia is likely to be present at birth and its effects will be with the individual for life, resisting conventional teaching methods. Have you come across learners with marked different good and bad days which have no obvious reason? Do you observe some learners who have confusion with directions, for example, left and right, up and down, in and out? Does it seem they also have difficulties with sequences, for example, days of the week, months of the year or numbers?
