Mathematics is a subject that requires skill and concentration. Some learners find it very easy while others just need practice and more practice to understand and apply it. However for some learners it almost seems like the more you teach the less they understand. Have you observed some of your learners who have difficulty grasping seemingly simple number concepts and struggle with learning number facts and procedures? They can usually learn the sequence of counting words, but will have difficulty moving around the sequence, either going back or jumping forward in twos or threes. Are you concerned that some of your learners have problems handling money, or telling the time as well as such concepts such as temperature and speed?
