In 2006 the Ministry of Education (Singapore) instituted the “Teach less Learn More” policy which improved student engagement and increased teacher professionalism. The concept behind this was that students learnt more by collaborative learning. This was fostered by giving them ownership and responsibility. This type of learning can be made fun and spiced up using free web applications and tools.
